About Michael

Michael grew up in Marietta, GA graduating from Lassiter High School. He went on to attend the University of Georgia, majoring in Speech communication. After graduating college in 2003, Michael worked alongside his father running the family business, a local sign company near the Marietta Square. In 2005, Michael took an opportunity with Enterprise-Rent-a-Car, as a management trainee. He was eventually promoted to Area Manager, covering parts of Gwinnett County and the Athens area. Michael moved his family to Louisville, Kentucky in 2015 upon promotion to Tri-Branded Area manager, handling Alamo, National and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Due to limited educational resources for their son, Brady, the Rudnick family decided to move back to Gwinnett County, specifically to the area that is now the City of Mulberry, due to the reputation of Gwinnett County Public Schools.  After careful research and consideration, they decided that the special education opportunities for Brady and the feeling of community, it was official: the Rudnick family would lay their roots in the Mill Creek cluster. Soon after the move into Mulberry, Michael began working for the City of Lawrenceville as the Fleet Director. Michael has enjoyed being able to give back to the community while working in the public sector and serving the citizens of Lawrenceville. Michael is currently enrolled in graduate school at the University of Georgia for a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and will be completing this degree in April 2025.

Throughout the years, Michael, as well as his wife Meg have been staunch supporters of public schools, strong advocates for the needs of their son, as well as advocating for various needs of all students and staff. So much so that in 2022, Michael decided to run for the local school board seat, but fell short in that race. It is through that campaign that Michael was able to connect with many people of the City of Mulberry.

Michael and Meg’s greatest joy is supporting Brady in his endeavors. Michael and Brady are heavily involved in the local Boy Scouts, where Brady is currently a “Second Class Scout” working toward “First Class Scout”. The Rudnicks enjoy watching & supporting Brady participate in various sports with the Special Olympics and play baseball with Mountain View Athletic Associations “Bears Make a Difference” league. Michael and Brady can be spotted supporting many Gwinnett County Schools athletic teams throughout the school year.

Michael is a well-known and well-respected member of the City of Mulberry and looks forward to establishing a strong foundation for this city to ensure its successful start.
